Supporting Student success Through scholarships

Each year, our Rotary club proudly awards the Jerome “Jerry” Jokl Educational Scholarship to graduating high school seniors in our community. This scholarship reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting education and investing in the future of local students.

Each year, up to $15,000 in scholarships is awarded to deserving students pursuing a college or trade school education. This includes two $2,500 scholarships and ten $1,000 scholarships, with half designated for college-bound students and half for those entering trade or technical schools.

Applications must be postmarked no later than May 5, 2025. Hand-delivered applications will not be accepted.

This year marks a major milestone for the North Brownsville Rotary Club — our 50th Anniversary. On June 26, 2025, members will gather for a special gala to honor five decades of service, leadership, and community impact.

We’re proud of the work that has been done and grateful for all who have supported our mission through the years. Here's to continuing the legacy of Service Above Self for many more to come.

Each year around Easter, our community gathers for a meaningful tradition: the Run for Rotary. This annual fundraiser brings together runners, walkers, families, and friends to support two important causes - local service projects and scholarships for students in need.

Held during the Easter season, the event is a chance to enjoy the outdoors, connect with others, and give back. Whether you're an experienced runner or just enjoy a good walk for a good cause, everyone is welcome.

Funds raised during the event go directly toward making a difference - supporting community initiatives and helping students reach their educational goals.
